Research Topics for 2009
We anticipate available funding for at least 17 REU positions during Summer, 2009 . The assignments of research areas will be based on individual interests as expressed on the application form.

There are two (2) Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) programs to consider, each with a different area of focus:
- Design and Delivery of Polymer-Drug Complexes : This REU will focus on the SYNTHESIS of well-defined polymers for drug delivery systems and for mediating membrane properties, the PHYSICAL SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING that characterizes the polymer-drug complexes and their properties, and their MATERIAL-CELL INTERACTIONS.
- Materials and Processes for Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cells: Funding was not received for the Fuel Cell Program - this program will not be held in 2009.
