MII Students Finish 1st in a 3D Printing National Competition

MII students have finished 1st in a national competition related to 3D Printing new products for mobility.

The award will be announced the largest 3D printing expo next Monday in Pittsburgh. They will receive $1k for travel, free registration, and some other gifts.

Their submission was the result of their semester design project in Dr. Christopher Williams’s additive manufacturing course. Specifically, they designed a custom-fit golf grip that is printed from a new elastomeric material. The undergrad and grad students are c0-advised with Dr. Mike Bortner.
