Prof. John Matson receives NIH grant

A research team headed by Prof. John Matson has received a $1.5M grant from the National Institutes of Health to develop therapeutic H2S-releasing small molecules, polymers, and polymer assemblies. In collaboration with Prof. Khosrow Kashfi from City College of New York, the Matson lab seeks to develop new methods to deliver this noxious yet important biological signaling gas. The work aims to address the controversial role of H2S in cancer through control over the timing, rate, and location of delivery.
